The Benefits of Using a Personal Life Coach

If you're ready to knock twenty years off your learning curve as a human being, then you're ready to hire a Personal Life Coach. Growing up we aren't really taught much about our own personal growth and development, which are vital to learn about if we are to enjoy life fully. A little assisted self discovery work now and again is the key to your success.
Personal Life Coaching can help you learn how you tick: what your preferences are in life, what is truly most important to you and how to finally let go of the things that hold you back. It teaches you forgiveness for yourself and for others. It puts you in charge of you. You begin to learn things like how to hold yourself accountable, how to make and complete small steps, and how to just be in the journey.
What is the one area of your life that isn't what you thought it was going to be? With a personal life coach, you can not only change that area, but also find out what held you back from having things the way you deserved them in the first place. And once you learn what's been holding you back, you can apply your new tools and awarenesses to other areas of your life. There's no end to the change you can accomplish once you've worked with a Personal Life Coach.
The major benefit you get from working with a personal life coach is finally being able to listen to your own heart, your own instincts. A coach will rarely tell you what to do, they don't know what you are supposed to do, only you do. A great coach will get you back in touch with yourself so you can figure out what is best for you.
A good coach asks you questions to get you to find answers for yourself. You know yourself best, whether you realize it or not. Hiring a coach is like hiring someone to shine a flashlight on the forgotten parts of you. You'll discover so many interesting things about yourself that you didn't know!
Most of all Personal Life Coaching teaches you the TOOLS you need to master your life. Our job as a coach is to work ourselves out of a job! You'll know you've been coached right when, at the end of your coaching journey, you feel confident in your abilities to handle whatever life gives you with grace and respect. In the end, it's always up to you to do the work.
Hiring a Personal Life Coach is like hiring a cheerleading squad: you immediately have someone on your side, who believes you can do it (even when you don't), and you have someone who will see you through to the finish line. Your best self is waiting for you: let a life coach help you claim it once and for all!
What does your Life Owner's Manual say? Work with a Personal Life Coach and discover it for yourself!

A Personal Development Plan For Building Confidence

Many life and personal growth coaches highly recommend creating a personal development plan to help you overcome limiting beliefs and start building a better life - but not many actually cover the steps you need to take to develop your plan. Which is a shame as it is a relatively easy and painless task - if you know how to go about it.

Have you ever wondered what makes successful people successful? And why they actually reach the pinnacle of their careers and earn top dollar, while you seem to struggle even to make a decent living?

The way I see it is this - the people who are able to achieve their goals and ambitions in life, with relative ease are much less inhibited, and even totally un-inhibited.

So why should this be? Why is it that some people feel less inhibited than others? What is their secret? Simple really - when they discovered strategies for coping with situations that worked well for them, they repeated those strategies constantly until that behaviour became second nature.

Successful people have learned the behaviours they need to achieve their goals, and they practice them on very regular occasions. So much so, their old, limiting behaviours have all but been eliminated from their life, and their new empowering behaviours and now the norm.

If it's possible for people to learn how conquer their negative and dysfunctional feelings and frustrations, you can learn how to do it too.

If these people have learned how to remain calm and relaxed when they get into winning positions in sport, so can you.

If professional speakers can learn how to overcome their fear of public speaking, and present themselves in a manner which leaves their audience wanting more, so can you.

Successful people weren't always successful - they learnt how to become successful. So if people can learn how to overcome their frustrations and focus on the actions they need to achieve their ultimate goals and ambitions - so can you.

If you can dedicate 5 to 10 minutes each day to practising some simple NLP techniques, you can start to take control of your fears and frustrations and turn them into positive and empowering emotions.

NLP - or Neuro Linguistic Programming - in its simplest form is basically a method to help you control your thoughts and reactions in any given situation. When you experience negative emotions, like fear or nerves or anxiety, you are reacting negatively to that situation. NLP provides a mechanism that shows you how to take those negative reactions, and turn them round into positive and functional reactions that will start to empower you.

To help you get started, there are two very simple exercises that you can start practising right away:

1. Firstly, you need to notice when you react and feel negatively about as many situations and events as you can. So every time you feel nervous, or anxious, or fearful about something, make a note of what it was that made you feel that way, and exactly how you felt about it.

In order to start tearing down the barriers that are standing in your way, you need to know exactly what those barriers are.

2. Exercise 2 is even easier. Simply make a list of all the negative behaviors and feelings that you want to eliminate from your life. Write them all down - every last one. This list is a work-in-progress - keep adding to it every time you think of or experience another emotion you want to rid yourself of. At the same time, make a note of exactly how you would like to feel most of the time. Again, write it down and describe how you feel and what it means to you to feel that way.

These may seem like simple exercises - and they are - but don't let that you put them off for another time. Take a few minutes and do them now. The more details you have here, the more functional and empowering your personal development plan will be, and the more positive and driven your future will be.

Self improvement guide – success is just one step away!

There is only one person responsible of your success and that is you; as amazing as it may sound, you can achieve success if you discover yourself as you truly are. From there, goal achievement and leadership are only a step away.
How many times did you dream of achieving success? Do not even try to answer this question, as we all dream about being successful, at least once in our lifetime. The truth is that personal development is possible and that success comes from such achievements. Your brain is the most important resource you can turn to for success, helping you when it comes to goal setting. It’s never too late for a change in your life and fortunately, there are a lot of online resources that teach you how to put your best attributes into the battle. By discovering the strong person hidden inside you, it will only be a matter of time before you manage to attract success and have everything you’ve always wanted.
Perhaps you are tired of motivational speaking and consider all of those people frauds. Stop listening to what they’ve got to say and search for personal development on your own. Your mind can really help you when it comes to goal achievement, so it would be a shame not to put your brain to work. And if you are not convinced that this self improvement guide actually has something to teach you, then you should go ahead and see what other people have to say about the connection between brain technology and personal growth. Not only you will have the opportunity to listen to some pretty amazing life experiences, but you will understand that the only person capable of conducting you towards leadership is yourself.
Goal setting has a lot to do with escaping negative life experiences and moments that have kept us far from reaching our dreams. People who have gone through similar situations teach us that we can have an impact when it comes to personal development, destroying the wall that is found between us and success. This wall has been built for various reasons and only we are meant to destroy it, thus finding an accessible path towards achieving our goals and lifetime dreams. While this may sound like an over-enthusiastic philosophy, in truth it is the best advice anyone could ever offer. Who would have thought that personal growth can be accomplished through such a simple method?
No one says that breaking a vicious circle is easy. No one is trying to stop you from being successful either. It all depends on you how willing you are to make some changes in your life. And, luckily, there is no better time than the present to strive for personal growth and discover what leadership is all about.

Positive Thinking And Manifesting Your Life

Positive thinking is a psychological behavior that assumes excellent outcomes through goal setting. Positive thinking is an interesting topic because a lot of people talk about it but only a few people are successful. It is a mental attitude you must practice daily. Your attitude will not change overnight. You will have to learn to read a lot about positive thinking type books and be persistent to change how you think. Remember the ways you think did not just happen; you were conditioned to this way of thinking. You were not born with a bad attitude and self defeating thoughts.

To manifest anything in your life you have to have a positive outlook about your life. Positive thinking is key. It is something that will allow you to change negatives into positives. It is about transforming ourselves from a pessimist to an optimist. Negative thoughts cause us to notice problems and sabotage our thoughts. Negative thinking will get you what you think about just as well as positive thinking to. So change from a pessimist into an optimist. Optimists tend to lead much happier, healthier lives.

Positive thinking is how you create your desired reality, wealth, your soul mate health and whatever else you would wish to attract into your life. It is very powerful and is conducive to growth, self development and your success in life. It is an attitude. It is much more than a mental process that can have fabulous effects on your life. It is a constructive way of thinking. Positive thinking is tied to your true happiness and manifesting your dreams. You have to work at it everyday and it is not about becoming detached from reality. A positive attitude has become a worldwide epidemic from weight loss to the corporate world as well.

When you think positive you will be able to control your mind. The mind is like a sponge and will accept statements as reality. If you keep repeating to yourself that you are lacking you will soon begin to accept these thoughts as truth and your mind and body will soon feel the affects of these thoughts or statements. They will soon begin to embed themselves into your sub-conscious and it will become your reality in life.

Hypnotists use these types of suggestions to hypnotize people. They continue to make statements in such a way that the receiver of these suggestions begins to accept them as real. When you begin to practice positive thinking you will be doing much of the same thing as a hypnotist. Your mind has the capability to absorb these thoughts, images and statements many times through out the day. You may not even think twice about it. Positive thinking is a state of mind, a way of life.

Thinking in this way will also help with keeping stress under control. Medical research has proven that a positive attitude has a huge affect on your life and how you recover from illness. Science has been studying how a positive attitude can relate to health for the benefits of preventive care and for the recovery process after surgery. They are finding that people with a positive out look on life have to see doctors less often and live longer healthier lives. A positive attitude certainly is a requirement for long term health and longevity in this lifetime.

Thinking positive all the time can be quite tricky because of the way society is and certainly in these times that we are living in now. With all that is going on around us it very difficult to keep a positive outlook on life. The trick is to limit what you accept as your reality. If you notice I did not say reality but your reality.

When you begin to have a positive attitude it can be very influential on everyone and everything around you. It is an attitude that is contagious. This type of attitude can affect our lives and what we manifest into our reality. Positive thinking is just another term for having faith. Manifesting your reality is nothing more than having faith in yourself and what it is you want to happen in your life.

Manifesting is like riding a bike. We had faith in ourselves that we could do it. You have to really want it to happen, you have to have faith. It is a great tool for turning thoughts and emotions into reality. Manifesting is hard for our conscious minds to accept because of our outdated beliefs, are child hood up bringing or both. It cannot be done without positive thinking or faith in this ability.

Manifesting is the development of our souls and into a divine being which we were all born to be able to do. It is our birthright. When we were children we would daydream about whatever we wanted in our lives. As time went on we were told by our parents or society that we can not do this or that and we began to believe this and it is now are reality. We need to learn and teach ourselves how to manifest our lives all over again just like a child would daydream. This is done through positive thinking, faith and a great attitude about our life.

Make positive thinking a habit and you will soon see some very wonderful changes in your life. Take charge of your reality, the reality around you and your thoughts. True positive thinking can help us manifest the life we have always dreamed of by destroying any self doubt we may have. Repeat thoughts like I was born for greatness and read books about positive thinking or take a course. The main thing is to just get started and quit procrastinating. Learn to enjoy your life.

How To Build Self Confidence The Easy Way

Are you anxious, frustrated, nervous, depressed or even angry at why things never seem to work out for you as well as they do for other people? Or perhaps you want to learn how to build self confidence of self esteem? These are all emotions and experiences we all have to deal with at some point in our lives - for some it's more often than others. I'd like to share some highly effective tips and techniques that you can start to use right now to explode your self confidence levels and really start to feel good about your life.

These tips and techniques come from a Master NLP practitioner. They are clinically tested methods you can start to use right now to eliminate all your negative emotions and replace them with positive and empowering emotions and feelings.

The techniques are based on Neuro Linguistic Programming methods (or NLP), and will enable you to move away from negative and disempowering moods and emotions, and into much more positive and powerful emotions literally within seconds. Whenever you feel bad, you'll discover how to instantly turn that feeling around and be feeling on top of the world literally within a matter of seconds.

Having the knowledge is nothing without action.

You may be familiar with the saying that "knowledge is power" - unfortunately that's not quite true. You could read everything here, gain the knowledge but still not see any improvements in your life. That's because "Action is Power", not knowledge. To reap the benefits of these techniques you must put them into action. It will only take you 10 - 15 minutes a day, but they will likely be the most powerful and stimulating 15 minutes.

Let's get started with some Magic Hats.

The process I'm going to explain is more widely known as The Magic Hats Program - there's 5 steps and 5 different colored hats - all of which are very powerful and highly effective.

Step 1. Self Hypnosis. Self Hypnosis is the secret door to controlling your mind. You'll learn how to place yourself in a deep state of complete relaxation. Even within the first few minutes of this step you'll start to feel more energised and a lot happier.

Step 2. Modalities. Your modalities are your modes of thinking - or how your brain recalls past memories. Have you ever smelt a familiar smell and almost immediately recalled the memory of where you were and what you were doing when you first encountered that smell. Or looked at an old photo and had the memories come flooding back? We remember our past experiences through our senses - just like this.

Step 3. Swish Patterns. This is simply a method where we replace one emotion with another. So if we are experiencing a negative emotion, it's a method we use to replace it with a positive and happy emotion.

Step 4. Anchors. Not the ones on ships, but those in your mind. When you experience a happy, powerful or positive emotion, it gets anchored into your subconscious by means of an anchor - like a familiar smell or an old photo. By selecting an anchor to use for the positive emotion we are experiencing we are able to recall that emotion at anytime we wish.

Step 5. Being aware of how your mind operates. Most people have no idea or understanding of how they operate or how their mind controls them. Here you take control of your mind and you start to call the shots as to how you function and how you feel about things.

Learn to Relax on Demand

Most people hardly ever relax - even when they're asleep, they're still tense and under stress. Our bodies operate and function best when we are relaxed. We can think more clearly, we feel better, and are much more fun to be around. So the first and most vital lesson is learning how to fully relax - and you'll be amazed at how easy it is.

Find a comfortable chair, and sit down with your back straight, feet flat on the floor and the base of your spine pushed back into the chair (this helps you sit up straight).

1. Place your right hand on your stomach where you belt buckle sits (or would sit if you're not wearing a belt).

2. Take a deep breath in and push out your stomach muscles allowing your lungs to start expanding into your stomach area - this helps fill your lungs from the bottom allowing you to get much more air into them. Continue to inhale filling the top of your lungs as well. When you can't breathe in anymore, hold your breath for a slow count of 6.By holding your breath, you ensure your lungs can extract the maximum amount of oxygen from the air and get it into your bloodstream.

3. Now breathe out slowly for a count of 6 and suck in your stomach muscles as far as you can at the same time. This helps expel the maximum amount of air from your lungs ready for the next deep breath in. Once you have exhaled, hold your breathe for another slow count of 6.

4. Do it all over again and repeat for between 6 and 12 times.

So the process is: Push out stomach and breathe in - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Hold breath - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Suck in stomach and breathe out - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Hold breath - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Repeat 6 - 12 times.

After you've finished you may feel a little dizzy or light headed. This is natural and is simply because you are now very relaxed and have highly oxygenated blood.

So, how do you feel? Nicely relaxed and invigorated? Great, then let's move on. I've run out of space here, but the rest of the program can be downloaded from http://magic-hats.com. The rest of the program takes about 15 - 20 minutes so go get your copy now - there's some very effective tips about how to build self confidence and overcome frustrations that you can start to use right now.

Best Tips on Self-Improvement

The undisputed, most important part of your life is you. And no one knows you better than yourself. The starting point to self improvement is self-awareness - understanding who you are. Everyone is always seeking to be a little more good and a little less bad. There is nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, it is considered healthy.

Begin by brainstorming a list that describes you, good, bad or indifferent. You may even have a friend or a group of friends to help you gain a less-biased opinion. Once you have the list, group together the descriptors by what you would like to improve upon or keep the same (even positive qualities merit change from time to time).

Next, before you take the first steps of your journey to a better you, first ask yourself if there is a need for change. Do the negatives outweigh the positives? Is there one thing you would like to be better at? Is the change a physical change or a mental change? Ask yourself the hard questions and be prepared to answer them.

Understand fully what you would like to improve. Write it down in front of you. Do not be afraid to do a little research either. Find others like you that are currently experiencing the same thing, or have already achieved their goal. It may even be beneficial to find others that have failed in their ventures of self-improvement to find out what they did wrong so you do not make the same mistakes they did.

Remember, change is a transformation over time. A building is not assembled with a snap of the fingers. It takes hundreds of thousands of baby steps in order to achieve. Self improvement is not dissimilar. Minor changes and adjustments towards a better you will eventually prove successful!

Personal Growth

I was having a conversation with a man recently and his name is Jair. We talked about how to change lives. To me it's sad to say, but it's not just that easy.

I told him point blank that I could tell him everything that was wrong with him but that wouldn't change him. He looked stunned for a second because there's so much stuff on TV that says otherwise. You know these quick fix programs.

This is where I feel that your psychic abilities kick in to save the day. I am of the belief that somehow life gets so busy and crazy we develop these character flaws. So it's these flaws plus the busy and crazy life, that we never address them and they become worse over time. As time goes by these flaws bring us down like a meteorite crashing to the ground (Hot and Loud). I really belief at this point we hit a psychic bottom; it's where the pain of change is less the pain of staying the same. It's this Psychic change that somehow overpowers the old character flaws and reset things, which now benefit us.Psychic Sense does for us, what we can't do for ourselves.

Lets look at a person who's taken down to a police station for a crime. At first glance they may think the police are fooled with an extraordinary story. Soon the person realizes the holes in their story and looks to change the story over and over. Then they realize the story won't hold up, they look for help on the legal side (Their Lawyer). Finally the trial comes and goes and they sit there waiting for a vote. It's at this moment they have a psychic change because they seek spirituality or religion in their time of need. Reality crashes down the busy and crazy and the mind resets into its safest parts, which is the psychic realm. Here they are comforted and propped up by spirit guides and family. Imagine how you would feel if there was an army with you and protecting you. That is the peace of mind that changes a person when they understand that’s the psychic realm offers unconditional love with no judgment against them. Some may say this is too good to be true. I know it ran across my mind too, but here I stand a changed person filled with love and compassion. When you give up the crazy and the busy or it gives up you that will be the day you'll find the changes you need.

Just remember to hit the reset button.

When we push this button our minds go back to state of our original state. Remember being a kid and not having a care in world. No responsibility or bills, this here is the closest to our original state. Just like a computer going haywire, just push the reset button and magically its goes back to normal (Reset equals normal).

I hope this blog was helpful and useful. May this message find you in good health, wealth and happiness.

Creating Success Begins With You

Can you possibly imagine yourself without goals? Not even very short term goals, like presenting that financial statement after lunch? Or maybe submitting that daily accomplishment report at the end of the day?

Without goals, our lives have no direction. It resembles a piece of driftwood floating in the ocean, going where the current goes and where the wind blows. If you live such a life, will you be able to achieve success, even a seemingly insignificant accomplishment? Are you willing to live life this way - simply going with the flow with no clear -destination in mind?

You know you have to take action and do something now or are you going to take the chance of creating success pass you by, again?

Success stands for different things for each individual. Your concept of success may be finishing a doctorate degree; another person will say she achieved success if she loses those excess pounds and achieve her ideal weight, still someone else may declare that his idea of success is paying off his debts and acquiring financial security in these troubled times. One thing, however, is common in all these scenarios - the key to success begins with you.

You are the only one who holds the key. Your family and friends may help you achieve whatever your aspirations may be. You may use amazing goal setting tools and apply effective goal achieving techniques but it will still go down to you. There are too many questions and by looking deep inside yourself and really contemplate on these issues, you will find the answers.

The first step to success is to reconcile yourself with your issues, compromising and finding balance. When you have found peace of mind and harmony within yourself, you are ready to take on any challenge life may bring.

Another thing you should remember is to never underestimate the power of positive thinking. The sheer power of your thoughts will be your catalyst to achieving success. A healthy dose of optimism never hurt anybody and surely not you and your goals. And don’t forget to maintain your drive, enthusiasm and motivation all throughout.

You should also associate yourself with like-minded, successful people and learn from them. Learning is a continuous process; at first you may seem not to know what you’re doing but slowly by observing successful people and learning form your own mistakes, you will get the hang of it and sooner that you know achieving success will come naturally and with less effort.

To achieve success you need to have a fit and healthy body. Success will be a hard to get hold of if you constantly fall off the success wagon because your body can’t keep up. When you are striving hard for success, stress and pressure are given factors and you have to manage them effectively. You should also provide yourself with the right nutrition to make sure you are fueled to take your game to the next level.
Creating success begins with you - your mind and body. Be an optimist - cultivate positive thinking, and sustain your enthusiasm and motivation. Be healthy - eat right and lead an active lifestyle.

Are You a Giver or a Taker

"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give."
-Sir Winston Churchill, British Politician 1874 - 1965

Are You a Giver or a Taker?

To give: to bestow by formal action; deliver or to yield to another.
To take: to get into one’s hands or possession; grasp, seize, capture, or defeat.

How would your friends, family, or co-workers characterize you -- Are you a giver or a taker?

Here is an example of an individual who attended one of my training sessions a few years ago. She was demanding, self-centered, a full-time taker and a chronic complainer. Nothing was good enough. She always wanted more from others and was not willing to give anything back.

Based on her behavior, how willing would you be to help or give to this person? Most would respond: not much.

Interestingly enough, the woman labeled me a taker. And in her situation, she was partially correct.

Think about it. When you come across an individual or group of individuals who are being demanding and who are acing like takers, what is your natural response? To withdraw or limit your interaction with them. You know intuitively that you will never be able to please or satisfy them.

Now I’m not suggesting we all shun or ignore these individuals but the impact or outcome their behavior has on others is obvious. The only person who seems oblivious to this truth is the taker.

The giver, on the other hand, does not expect anything in return for his or her acts of kindness and giving. The experience of giving and the ability to give is rewarding, in itself.

We are all familiar with this longstanding truth: "Give and you will receive." Isn’t it interesting that what takers want the most is what they get least and what givers want least is what they get the most? With the act of giving to others, people generally want to give more to us in return.

But beware of the taker in a giver’s clothing. True giving does not expect anything in return. To give for the purpose of getting back is the value of a taker.

I recall an individual who gave of her time and resources to a needy cause and person. She was later very upset with the receiver’s group and the key individuals in it because she did not get enough thanks and acknowledgement for her acts. If your giving has strings attached, it’s not true giving -- it is an exchange of services or products. That’s fine, but don’t call it giving.

Our lives are mirrors of our actions and thoughts. The events in our lives are a reflection of our attitudes and approaches. If you read about the wealthiest individuals in the world, you will see a very strong trend: The majority give a very high percentage of their wealth away in the second half of their lives. In fact, their charitable foundations and their giving become two of their primary purposes in life. True givers are energized by the act of being able to give and contribute.

We all have different ways we can give; each way is important, unique, and valuable. Some can give financial resources, others can give time. Still others give compliments and encouragement. Sharing knowledge and wisdom are ways to give.

Please don’t beat yourself up because you are able to give only in certain ways. Embrace the ways you can give.

Recently one of the most successful charity fundraisers (he has personally helped raise $100 million) stated that those who give time don’t usually give money and those who can’t give time usually give financial resources. He stated that he needed and was thankful for both.

Giving can be therapeutic. I can’t recall the individual’s name, but many years ago, I learned of a physiologist who treated patients suffering from depression by having them carry out acts of kindness and giving toward others. He helped them improve their emotional condition by getting them to focus outward on others, rather than on their own internal state.

Even your health and wellness can increase or decrease through your habits of giving or taking. Remember that taker I mentioned earlier? She was always sick or recovering from some illness. The health link to attitude was acknowledged by Norman Cousins in his book, Anatomy of an Illness.

And just last week, a medical study confirmed that a person’s arterial and cardiac health improves when he or she is having fun, laughing, and enjoying emotional happiness.

The opposite is true when a person is angry, serious, or unhappy. In fact, the happy individuals had up to a 30% increase in circulatory capacity over those who were angry, serious, or upset. It seems even your arteries know if you are a giver or a taker.

So again I ask: Are you a giver or a taker?

Over the next few days, pay attention to your thinking, actions, and conduct. Are you in the mindset of a true giver -- giving without strings and without expecting anything in return -- or are you a taker, draining yourself and others of emotional happiness?

To help you on this journey, I would like to recommend a couple of resources that can help you or others become even more giving. In our experience, many takers behave that way because they have an emotional vacuum or because some personal need is not being met. They try to fill the need by getting, rather than giving. That need can be based on low self-confidence or self-worth levels. Consider the Self-Worth Inventory as a great starting point.

Also if our lives don’t reflect our core values, we are out of sync with our needs -- and that can drive us to be takers, rather than givers. Confirm your values using a values assessment, and then determine whether your life reflects your core values. Not living your core values can contribute to your being more of a taker than a giver.

True giving is energizing and healthy. And it contributes to the improvement of others’ circumstances at some level.

***
Action Steps

Are you a Giver or a Taker?

1. If we asked your friends, family, and co-workers, would they say you are a giver or a taker?
2. Are you happy with the answer to question one?
3. Being a giver or a taker can be situational, depending on your upbringing, family, etc. Is that possibly true for you? If so, what is causing you to hang on to that old programming?
4. Giving can take many forms. Based on what you know you can give most or give best, think about a couple ways that you can increase your giving.
5. Confirm your self-confidence. Value assessments or assessments targeting self-worth may help you in this area. This assessment process can help you to become more grounded and centered, so you are free to be more giving.
6. Where in your life might you be a taker? If this applies, what steps can you take in your life to decrease being a taker?
7. Never expect something in return for your act of giving. If you do, you are a taker in disguise.
8. As you become more proactive in your giving, pay attention to how that makes you feel, emotionally and physically.
9. Giving should not be a burden; it should be energizing. Are you giving out of guilt, obligation, and/or duty?
10. Your level and ability to give is unique to yourself. Never compare how and what you give by what others are doing. Accept what you can give as okay.

Until next time, keep Living On Purpose.

7 Secrets to Creating Wealth

Many people study how to become wealthy as if it were a science. While there is always a certain amount of chance in everyone's life, in many ways wealth building can be thought of as a science. Read on for seven of the most salient secrets to becoming wealthy.

1. Quit procrastinating. Putting things off until tomorrow is always a bad idea. Often procrastination is caused by an inability to make decisions. It's not that we can't make the decision, really. We just don't want to take a chance on making the wrong one. So instead of living a little dangerously, making the decision, and leaping forward, we stay stagnated in one place. While rash behavior can certainly cause more harm than good, there is definitely something to be said for being able to make a decision and then make a move.

2. Believe in yourself. Many routes to riches involve selling things or ideas to other people. If you feel like you are not as good as others, that what you have to offer is somehow second rate, you will never reach your potential. Take the time to make a list of all the things you appreciate about yourself. The idea is not to become a pompous know-it-all. It is simply to build some confidence. You are as good as the next guy, and you have just as much a right to a piece of the pie as he does!

3. Use your time wisely. This is similar to not procrastinating, but a little different. If you sit down at the computer to do your work-at-home business, and find yourself checking your junk email or playing spider solitaire, it's a safe bet your business is not going to be growing like it could. Successful entrepreneurs know how to focus on the task at hand. If you have a bit of trouble deciding where to start, assign yourself certain days or hours to spend on different tasks - Tuesdays you'll tackle advertising, or for 2 hours each day you'll make phone calls.

4. Don't give up easily. Many businesses lose money during their first year or two, but grow to be quite profitable after that time. Keep on plugging. You will learn valuable lessons during the early years. Most notably, you will probably learn how to use your time wisely and not waste it chasing rabbit trails.

5. Don't let rejection get to you. If you are trying to sell something, you are sure to get rejected from time to time. In fact, you will get rejected most of the time in all likelihood. Keep making calls and you are sure to find a favorable response eventually.

6. Don't go into debt without a good reason. While you will probably need to borrow money to get your business up and running, you would be better off to stay away from credit cards to get the little things you want in your personal life.

7. Learn to like people. Invest in the lives of others and it will invariable enrich your own. Look for ways to brighten other people's days and lighten their loads. It will pay off in a great attitude and many friends.

Like Your Garden Your Mind Can Grow Weeds Too!

How many of you have a garden in your backyard where you grow your favorite vegetables. You plant them from seeds or seedlings and give them everything they need in order to grow and thrive. You water, fertilize and provide adequate sun. After several months they grow to be big and strong. You run out to pick them daily as they ripen and think to your self. “ I grew these and they taste so good.”

What happens though if you plant your vegetables and forget about them? WEEDS! That’s right your garden now begins to become overtaken by nasty weeds and other plants you have no idea what they may be. Your precious vegetables start to have problems thriving and eventually die or produce fruit you have no desire to eat.

Your garden is like your mind. When you are a child you are given the proper care and nurturing by you parents to give you good habits, a good education and the tools you need to succeed and grow up strong and confident.

What happens along the way is kind of sad. You are exposed to weeds. Just like your garden. Bad influences in your life sometimes become planted in your mind if you can not fight them off. Things such as smoking, nail biting, procrastination, having a bad temper, being lazy, using drugs or being overweight. Theses are only a few of the many habits or should we say weeds, which your mind is susceptible too.

With all these negative influences one might think that there in no chance of changing habits or negative behavior. Well, This is not the case. The mind is a very strong. In fact what you say and think about yourself does come true. If you believe that you want to change your mind will follow. Once your subconscious is reprogrammed the negative things or weeds will be replaced with positive thoughts and behaviors. The unconscious labels we have created for ourselves are changed releasing us from our old behavior patterns or habits. As we remove the old labels new positive ones are created leaving us feeling better about ourselves and what we have accomplished.

Just like the happy, joyful feeling you have while eating the big juicy red tomato from your garden, which you worked so hard on. You will feel ecstatic and excited that you changed the behaviors you disliked about yourself. That feeling can not be matched by any other, The feeling that you are in control.

What is it that makes a winning character or a winner? Every person is a winner. We all deal with every day struggles that by some means define who and what we are. But the distinction between a winner and another winner may perhaps be giant - it can be a million dollars worth of difference.

Whilst you examine or see people who are successful within their fields, do you wonder what goes on in their minds? Do you wonder what drives them? Is it the pleasure of winning? Is it the prize? Do they merely desire to win or are there any additional reasons?

In spite of their reasons for wanting to be successful, these people are amazingly focused and strong-minded. They do not falter and admit defeat easily. They seize teaching from life’s adversities and grow from these. They come across and create opportunities from setbacks in addition to problems. They are always developing and inspiring themselves. They do not give up easily. They cope with challenges and would regularly look for solutions rather than dwell on the problems.

People who are truly successful know how to prioritize. They see which things are critical and which are not; and they construct decisions accordingly. They establish their goals and pursue these goals without wavering, without looking back. They strive to develop each occasion.

Know What Success Means To You

So you see, it is influential to be familiar with what success means to your life. It is important that you define yourself in terms of your capacity to be successful. It doesn’t matter that you have already failed lots of times. Do not allow past failures to hold you back from future victories. They should not hamper you from believing that you can still be triumphant and that you can reach your dreams.

Take Control Of Your Financial Freedom Today

It's amazing how much of our adult life is spent working hard to try and get ahead. We all want to have some sense of financial control over our circumstances so we work harder to try and get ahead. We strive to build a home and to have enough financial assets to enable us to enjoy a comfortable retirement. So how can we better take control of our financial destiny today. Here are some tips to help you navigate through the financial maze and get you on track to achieve your dreams.

Don't get scammed.
All to often its human nature to look for the short cut. The road that will give us what we want with minimal effort. Why else would there be a booming industry on how to lose weight by taking pills. However, if you fall for the get rich quick trap you are only going to put of your financial freedom through lost time, effort and money. You might even cost yourself a chance of financial freedom especially if you put your life savings into a get rich quick scheme that ends up losing your investment.

The most common scams out there are ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes and your get rich seminars. All of them are ever waiting for the next greedy sucker to part them with their hard earned money so don't let that next victim be you. All of these schemes have one common theme and that is they offer a high rate of return for minimal effort on your part. Like the old saying goes, if it is too good to be true chances are it is.

Know what you are spending.
Get your finances in order. If you don't know how much you are spending then how can you possibly know what expenses are necessary and what is discretionary. Imagine your fortune 500 company operating like the way you do. Spending money as they see fit without any accountability on where that money is going and whether it is a good investment or not. The company would go broke and so would you. You need to think of your financial situation the same way a multinational company does. Track and monitor your income and expenses. Question every expense and really ask yourself if it is truly necessary and whether or not it is getting you closer to financial freedom or not.

Debt is not always your friend.
Be aware that not all debt is bad and likewise not all debt is necessary good. Know the difference between good debt and bad debt. Good debt occurs when you use someone elses money to purchase or control an asset that over time appreciates in value. This includes things like property and shares. Bad debt is when you borrow money to buy things that decrease in value over time. We all know that this category includes things like borrowing for a holiday, credit cards and buying your car. If you are serious about becoming financially independent you cannot have a balance sheet that is over burdened with bad debt otherwise you are going to spend a disproportionate amount of your time, energy and money on paying of these debt and never really getting ahead financially.

Your financial freedom starts today.
Don't think that you will get on the road to financial freedom tomorrow. Don't kid yourself that you can live life and enjoy yourself now and start worrying about retirement later. Don't squander today with bad financial choices, take control of your life and start investing it into getting you what you want. I mean what's the point of enjoying your life over the next couple of years and then spending the next forty trying to stay above the poverty line because you are laden with debt. Make a decision today and take a step to either reduce your debt or start saving for your future. The decision is up to you, you are in control.

Self Improvement - Personal Success

Impression of your psychology professor, you might respond, "She is great." Then you might go on to describe your perception of her characteristics—for example, She is charming, intelligent, witty, and sociable. These opinions represent inferences you make from the samples of her behavior you experience directly. From this description we can also infer that you have a positive impression of her.

As we form impressions of others, we organize the information in two important ways. Our Impressions are both integrated and unified. Traits, actions, appearance, and all of the other information we obtain about a person are closely connected in memory, even though the information may have been obtained in an interrupted or random fash¬ion. We might obtain some information today, more next week, some more in 2 months. During those 2 months, we interacted with many other people and developed impres¬sions of them as well. Nonetheless, we integrate each relevant experience with a particu¬lar person and perceive it as unified, a continuous block of information.

Consider Peg. You meet her and she tells you that she is about to have her first baby. You make a mental note about her situation and form some impressions about her per¬sonality. These impressions will be distinctive no matter how many other people you meet. When you encounter Peg later, you notice that she looks tired and disheveled. You remember her pregnancy and now infer that new motherhood must be a tiring business. You integrate this new information to maintain a coherent impression of her.

Our first encounter with someone also often contributes to an enduring impression we form. Primacy effect is the enduring quality of initial impressions. One reason for the primacy effect is that we pay less attention to subsequent information about the indi-vidual (Anderson, 1965). The next time you want to impress someone, a wise strategy is to make sure that you put your best foot forward in your first encounter.

Social Comparison. How many times have you asked yourself questions such as "Am 1 as smart as Jill?" "Is Bob better looking than I am?" or "Is my taste as good as Carmen's?" We gain self-knowledge from our own behavior; we also gain it from others through social comparison, the process in which individuals evaluate their thoughts, feelings, behav¬iors, and abilities in relation to other people. Social comparison helps individuals to evalu¬ate themselves tell them what their distinctive characteristics are, and aid them in build¬ing an identity.

Have A Self Improvement Worksheet

Have you ever wished that your life could be a lot better and more fulfilling than the one you are in right now? Have a self improvement worksheet you can put your plans on to turn them into reality.
Here are some of the things you have to plan out in your worksheet for a smooth sailing journey towards self improvement goal.

Get up early.

To be able to accomplish this and still avoid losing any precious sleep, you can go to bed just a half hour earlier to get up a half hour earlier than you usually do.

What this got to do with self improvement?

For different people the answer can vary slightly. To start with you need to fully awaken yourself and get rid of early morning sluggishness.

After you are completely alert step outside of your house and watch the sunrise. Nothing like the view of a fresh morning to set you out on your self improvement destination.

This simple but immensely satisfying act will lift your spirits and help with self improvement.

If you are unable to do this, take a brisk walk, jog or run depending upon what you prefer and what you are physically capable of.

Eat breakfast.

To start your day out on the right foot and stay in keeping with your self improvement plan this is practically a necessity. You need the energy this will provide you with to accomplish your daily tasks.

If you are overly pressed for time you might try cereal and milk or even a few pieces of fresh fruit would do.

Any of these are better alternatives than skipping breakfast.

Smile a lot.

When you go places, smile more at other people, even if you find it a bit difficult at first. Just curve your lips up a bit as you make eye contact with another human being.

An effective goal is written.

The primary purpose of your self improvement worksheet.

This is extremely helpful and essential because there will be times when your self improvement goals will make you uncomfortable and you may lose site of them.

When this happens, you need to have them written down to keep yourself on track and accountable. Posting your goals on the refrigerator, bulletin board, or in your planner ensures that you will be reminded of them on a daily basis.

Review them on a regular basis.

You must review your self improvement goals in order to stay on track. Check out your worksheet on the schedule you set. Reviewing them causes you to commit to their achievement.

According to studies, only 1% of the population actually understands how to effectively set goals. This is the reason why so many New Year's resolutions are not followed.

And this is also why people keep failing at the very same goal. The desire to improve yourself is genuine, but the process you go about while seeking this desire is faulty. Then how can you achieve the self improvement results you want?

The positive results of achieving any goal are unforgettable. An individual's failure to achieve is not because they are incompetent but because they simply do not know the process of success.

Have an effective self improvement worksheet. Follow what is written, be patient and celebrate your success to come.

10 Things to Make Your Mind Body and Soul Great

Mind

1. Self hypnosis each day

Keep your mind trim by giving it a chance each day to rest and properly process information. Those who practice self hypnosis each day, insist that they feel better for doing so, claiming to have more energy and focus afterwards and achieve their goals with greater ease as the conscious and subconscious are given an opportunity to communicate with each other. Hypnosis can also be used to accelerate healing, so any winter ailments will quickly get better and a routine of practising hypnosis can lead to a general improvement in health.

2. Increase your interest and intelligence

It’s time to invest in that hobby that you’ve always thought about doing but never really got around to. Having a new interest will stimulate your mind and help to keep it young, whether you’re committing to doing a crossword puzzle each day or learning a new skill like horse riding, or a martial art. You can learn more about your mind with NLP by ordering the People Building NLP Practitioner manual, complete with audio CD’s.

3. Set some goals

Setting a goal is basically a way of giving yourself a problem. This might not sound terribly appealing but a goal is a quality problem. Goals are great to have as it makes it less likely that the nasty problems that we do not want, will show up in our lives- or at least if they do show up, they will not appear as significant as they might have done otherwise. Goals also keep us motivated and enthusiastic and give a wonderful sense of achievement, increasing our self worth, once they are accomplished. See the articles page to find tips on how to set achievable goals.

Body

4. Stop smoking/Get your body to the correct weight

Out of these two health hazards quitting smoking is the most important thing you can do for the benefit of your health. There are so many people I know who are devoted to self improvement and invest in all sorts of courses to improve their thinking and focus. Yet if your body is unhealthy, you have missed the point. Nothing you can achieve is ever superseded by your health, but people fail to get this message, until they get sick.

The People Building website has resources to assist smoking cessation and weight loss. Check out the Quit Smoking Hypnosis Audios, the Weight Loss Audios and Freedom from Smoking the NLP Way, an e-book guaranteed to have you quit cigarettes or claim your money back.

5. Exercise more

Even if you exercise already, you can benefit from revamping your regime to prevent a plateau occurring in your level of fitness. You should be doing 3 hours exercise every week and whilst this should ideally be cardiovascular, any amount is better than none at all. Exercise doesn’t have to mean going to the scary gym, it could be taking a walk, swimming, ice skating or another fun physical activity that you enjoy! Download Motivation for Exercise, a hypnosis MP3 from itunes or from the People Building website.

6. Eat your 5 a day

Here are the rules with your 5 fruit and vegetables a day. A portion is about the amount you could fit in one of your own handfuls (so for children it is as much as they could fit in their own handful). You need to have as many different colours as possible (for example green grapes, red strawberries, blueberries, yellow banana, orange carrots) and eating two portions of the same food will still only classed as one portion. So if you eat 5 apples in one day it is still only one portion, the same applies if you have 3 glasses of orange juice, it’s still only one portion. Potatoes are not classed as vegetables in your 5 a day, they are carbohydrates. If you’re not keen of fruit and vegetables, try the Exploring Food Hypnosis Audio.

Spirit

7. Be more grateful

In the hit film “The Secret” the term “develop an attitude of gratitude” was coined. This means being grateful for what you have already. Remember that the Law of Attraction is working with a time delay. Feeling lack in the moment of now, sends a signal to the universe to bring you more lack in the future. Feeling grateful now, tells the universe that you are feeling thankful and welcoming. The universe will know that you are ready to receive and will begin pointing you in the direction of achieving what you desire in the future. Check out the Law of Attraction tips in the People Building podcast.

8. Give more

Make time in your routine to give to others. Giving your time or knowledge is far more empowering that simply giving your money. If you do give your money to a charity, find out about what difference your cash is making. Read up on tithing from the Catherine Ponder book “The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity” to find out more about the benefits of giving.

9. Forgive those that you need to

Harbouring onto old hurts and mistrusts zaps both your energy and spirit. It’s not for me to say how you should forgive those who you feel have wronged you in some way. It could be that you need to give them a call if you haven’t spoken to them for a while. Or that you take the time to see an old situation from a new perspective in which you see how this situation has helped to develop you in some positive way. It could be that you write a letter that you later stick on the bonfire- it doesn’t really matter what you do as long as you choose something that will help you move on with your life, leaving the bad feeling behind you.

10.Sort out your finances

I recently listened to a podcast all about manifesting money. Whilst it is definitely important to be grateful for what you have in order to feel more abundant, it isn’t necessarily the most practical way to increase your bank balance, and I was surprised to hear that this was the general theme of the podcast. In order to get your finances in hand, you have to first understand your current situation, If you’re in debt you need to know by how much, what the interest is and formulate a plan to get it paid back. If you’re investing, talk to someone who has invested well.
